Obtaining
Markings are crafted from ink sacs which are dropped by squids.

Usage
Markings are used to craft blueprints which can be used to rapidly duplicate detailed blocks. To make a blueprint, combine one paper and one marking together in the crafting table.

Markings are also used to craft nametags. To make a nametag, combine one paper, any string (including Sinew) and one marking together in the crafting table.

Markings can be sealed inside a barrel of tannin to make black dye, which can then be used to dye clothing.
