Usage
A Sextant is a tool used for navigation. To use it, you must be in a deep ocean biome and you must have a Brass Compass and a Brass Clock on your hotbar at the same time. Right-Clicking with the Sextant in hand will then tell you the direction to the nearest shore from your current location.
