Obtaining

Blooms are a porous mass of iron and slag resulting from the smelting of Iron Ore in a Bloomery.

The output from a bloomery is a Raw Iron Bloom. The Raw Iron Bloom will have a percentage value of its iron content, where 100% represents enough iron for a single Wrought Iron ingot.

Working

WARNING: When bringing a Raw Iron Bloom up to working temperature, be careful not to let it melt or the Bloom will be lost.

Refined Iron Bloom 200%	Hammer	Refined Iron Bloom 100% x2	For Blooms greater than 100%. If less than 200%, it will split into a 100% Bloom and a Bloom with the remaining %.
Refined Iron Bloom 100%	Hammer	Wrought Iron Ingot
Refined Iron Bloom	Melt	Unshaped Wrought Iron	Melt Refined Blooms in the forge with a ceramic mold, or in the crucible. Melting Refined Blooms less than 100% in the forge will give a partial unshaped ingot. WARNING: Melting a refined iron bloom greater than 100% in the forge will result in only 1 unshaped ingot. Any excess metal will be lost.
